$1.6 Million Rebate Program Has Supported the Installation of 300 kWh of Solar Storage Since Launch

CPA Programs

Clean Power Alliance has committed $1.6 million in funding for the Sun Storage Rebate program and since launching in March has already provided more than $20,000 in rebates to 27 CPA customers. The program has supported the installation of over 300 kWh of battery storage systems that has helped customers save money on their electricity bills and provided them with the security of a backup power option.

The program provides an incentive of $750 to customers who install an eligible battery storage system and customers on CARE, FERA, or Medical Baseline assistance rates will receive an additional $250. So far 9% of rebate recipients are on one of these assistance rates.

Battery storage systems can help reduce demand on the electrical grid and provide power resilience through the use of stored energy. To qualify for the rebate program, applicants must have a battery storage system that is at least 5 kWh or greater in capacity, an approved system on SGIP’s verified equipment list, and connected to a solar PV system.

To make it easy to apply for the rebate program, CPA has launched a new online form that will allow customers to digitally complete the incentive reservation and incentive claim forms for the program and quickly answer application questions.
