Analyst, Power Supply
CPA is seeking a motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented Analyst, Power Supply to provide operational, analytical, compliance, and other support to our growing Power Supply team, as we advance clean energy goals in a way that adheres to the local priorities of our member agencies. The Power Supply team performs various functions related to the development and management of CPA’s energy supply portfolio, including procurement of renewable, carbon free, conventional energy, demand response, and resource adequacy products to contribute toward CPA’s target portfolio mix, comply with CPA’s hedging strategies, achieve regulatory and legislative targets, and maximize benefits for CPA’s customers.
CPA is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented specialist to join our Data and Systems team as the Database Administrator (DBA). The Database Administrator will be responsible for architecting and managing some of our most critical system databases, applications, and platforms including but not limited to Amazon Web Services (AWS), PostgreSQL, and Snowflake. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on specialist who shares CPA’s mission to rapidly expand the adoption of clean energy across Southern California while building the organization’s technical platform, support, and automation.
Data and Systems Architect
The Data and Systems Architect will design and manage data systems, sets policies for how data is stored and accessed, coordinate various data sources within the organization, integrate new data technologies into existing IT infrastructures, and optimize solutions to be as cost-effective as possible. The Data and Systems Architect will be integral in the deployment of CPA’s Data and Systems Strategic Plan, developing technology requirements for RFPs, evaluating responses and working with vendors and consultants to deploy new systems (e.g. Data Analytics Platform, Forecasting and Analysis, CRM, ETRM, Financial Management & Accounting, Financial Modeling, Budget, and Planning Analysis).
Director, Customer Programs
CPA is seeking an experienced, highly motivated and experienced leader to join our executive team as the Director, Customer Programs. The Director, Customer Programs will lead the development and deployment of CPA’s growing suite of customer programs and will lead a team responsible for implementing customer programs in accordance with CPA’s Local Programs Strategic Plan. CPA’s programs portfolio includes innovative offerings aimed at demand response, local resiliency, community solar, vehicle and building electrification, and workforce development.
Project Manager, Origination & Contract Management
CPA is seeking a motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented team member to support CPA’s long-term energy contracting activities. The Project Manager, Origination & Contract Management will focus on supporting solicitations for long-term renewable and storage resources and the management of CPA’s portfolio of power supply resources, which includes over 2,000 MW of new solar, wind, and battery storage assets.

Senior Advisor, Rates and Tariffs
The Senior Advisor, Rates and Tariffs leads CPA’s annual rate setting process, analyzes CPA’s cost of service, manages rate design and implementation for customer programs, and monitors the rates of CPA’s competitors. The position is responsible for coordinating the internal and external information necessary to develop rates and tariffs for a variety of rate products and programs. Strong candidates will have significant rate design experience and proven analytical abilities, be a proactive, big-picture thinker who also has a strong detail-orientation and have demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively with others.
Senior Manager, Market Operations
CPA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented energy market professional to manage CPA’s energy market operations and daily performance of CPA’s portfolio of power supply resources, which includes over 2,900 MW of solar, wind, geothermal, and battery storage assets.
Senior Manager, Power Origination
The Senior Manager, Power Origination will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, conducting energy and Resource Adequacy procurement solicitations, originating and negotiating short and mid-term structured transactions and power purchase agreements, and ensuring compliance with CPA’s Energy Risk Management Policy (ERMP).
Senior Middle Office Risk Analyst
CPA is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented team member to support the development of its Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system, develop middle office risk models and processes, and perform risk management activities. The position will utilize database architectural and analytical and statistical techniques. The Senior Middle Office Risk Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing systems models and processes that support critical risk and procurement analytics and reporting, as well as leading or supporting those activities.
