John Spector serves as the Program Manager, Resiliency Programs and Grants and supports the development of resiliency offerings to local governments and customers in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. John has a Bachelor of Design Studies in Architectural Technology from the Boston Architectural College and graduate certificates in Sustainable Design and Sustainable Community Planning and Design. John has over 10 years of experience in the environmental and resiliency realms, including managing low-income distributed energy resources and energy efficiency incentive applications, conducting solar and battery storage feasibility studies for the public and private sectors, and preparing vulnerability and resilience plans for cities and housing authorities.

Hilda serves as an Associate, Customer Care for Clean Power Alliance. She brings with her experience in customer service, compensation administration, and interpreting complex policies, procedures, and regulations. Prior to joining CPA, Hilda worked for the Social Security Administration, where she served as a Claims Specialist and Customer Service Representative. She reviewed and authorized claims and other complex determinations for benefits under Title II and XVII of the Social Security Act. She earned a Master of Education degree in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs from the University of Southern California and Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley.

Chandler serves as the Analyst, Rates and Strategy at Clean Power Alliance. His previous experience spans operations, marketing, and supervisory teams inside and outside the energy industry. Before joining the CPA team, Chandler worked for Calpine Energy Solutions for four years, most recently as a rates specialist that would assist over 20 community choice aggregates with rate and program implementations. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth in Marketing and is proud to be a part of a team working towards clean and sustainable energy for their local community.

Lindsay is CPA’s Vice President, Power Supply and is focused on meeting CPA’s bold energy goals, reliability needs, strategic planning and analysis. Lindsay brings extensive expertise in energy procurement, portfolio management, resource planning, energy policy and compliance. She is seasoned in meeting ambitious renewable and carbon-free energy goals to maximize benefits to customers while keeping costs low. Prior to CPA, Lindsay spent over 5 years as the Director of Power Resources at MCE, California’s first Community Choice Aggregation. She also spent 6 years at PG&E in renewable procurement and contract management. Lindsay is a California native and discovered her passion for renewable energy while pursuing an MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio Graduate School.

Nathan Becker serves as the Visual Storyteller, Graphic Design and Web Design at Clean Power Alliance. He has been a visual, content, and brand designer for 15+ years. Nathan has worked on interfaces at big tech in Cupertino, art directed at Summer Search an education nonprofit in San Francisco, and lead marketing design for publisher Condé Nast in NY. He believes in leveraging technology and collaboration to build compelling customer experiences, engagement, and brand awareness. Nathan is responsible for CPA’s visual design of everything from webpages to ad campaigns. He graduated with a degree in media, art, and design from James Madison in VA, before earning his master’s in design and technology from Parsons the New School for Design in NY.

George serves as the Data & Systems Architect for Clean Power Alliance (CPA). He brings extensive experience of Data Engineering, Product Engineering and Solutions Architecture. Prior to joining Clean Power Alliance, George served in multiple technical, functional, and business consulting roles for various clients in the UK and USA. He has vast consulting industry experience including Finance, Utility, Telecom, Pharmaceutical, Retail and e-Commerce. George earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Engineering Design.

Alexis serves as the Regulatory Analyst I at Clean Power Alliance. Alexis is responsible for regulatory analysis, case management, coalition building, and member agency support. Prior to joining CPA, Alexis worked as a Policy Associate for Community Environmental Council where she advocated for various local energy policies to be adopted in Ventura County and tracked State incentives for electric vehicle adoption for low to moderate level income households. Prior, Alexis worked at the U.S. Senate tracking and researching various environmental legislation and worked in local city government. Alexis has a B.A. in Political Science with an emphasis in Law and Public Policy and minor in Philosophy from California Lutheran University.

Tsemon serves as Project Manager, Origination & Contract Management for Clean Power Alliance. Prior to Clean Power Alliance, Tsemon worked with Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) where he worked on procurement of clean energy resources in line with California’s net zero goals, and the management of PG&E’s RPS portfolio via sale and allocation of RPS products. Before PG&E, Tsemon advised on project financing and development of infrastructure and energy projects in sub-Saharan Africa for over four years. Tsemon has a LLM (with specialization in energy and clean technology) from UC Berkeley and a law degree from the University of Lagos.

Clarissa Chan serves as Senior Manager of Market Operations at Clean Power Alliance overseeing various asset management and settlement activities, onboarding CPA’s fleet of new clean energy resources, and serving as a CAISO subject matter expert. Her experience includes 15 years at Southern California Edison where she held roles in CAISO Policy and Market Redesign Implementation, Resource Optimization, and CAISO Settlements. Clarissa earned her bachelor’s in Information and Computer Science from UC Irvine and is currently working towards an MBA from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.

Octavien serves as Resource Planner for Clean Power Alliance, supporting various functions within the Procurement team. He has a broad range of experience covering electricity market evaluation, economic and financial analysis, commodity market simulation modeling, contract evaluation, forecasting and pricing models, and utility resource planning. Octavien worked for the City of Vernon where he was in charge of the City’s Integrated Resource Planning, power procurement, and regulatory proceedings involved in these matters. Prior to that, Octavien spent five years at Southern California Edison (SCE) where he was responsible for managing SCE’s power supply planning, contract evaluation, and portfolio optimization activities. Before SCE, he served as a Senior Consultant at Ventyx (aka ABB) where he consulted for several major electric utilities, including power plant owners and other energy market participants. Octavien holds a Ph.D. in Applied Economics and Statistics from University of Kentucky.

Natasha serves as Vice President, Power Supply for Clean Power Alliance. Her experience spans sustainable infrastructure development, energy finance, utility planning and procurement, and launching new enterprises. Natasha comes to Clean Power Alliance from Renewable Resources Group (RRG), an impact investment firm, where she was Vice President of Energy and Water Development, leading infrastructure project development and investment activities in the Western United States, South America, and Australia. Before joining RRG, Natasha was Director of Project Development for Edison Water Resources, where she was responsible for developing local, sustainable water supply projects in the City of Los Angeles and other Southern California communities. She earned her MBA from Columbia Business School and her bachelor’s from the University of Southern California.

Pavel serves as a Customer Care Analyst. He brings 4 years of experience in community choice aggregation on billing operations, data analysis, customer programs and customer data operations management. Prior to joining Clean Power Alliance, Pavel worked for Calpine Energy Solutions serving as a Senior Billing Operations Analyst and intermediary between utilities and community choice aggregates. He was involved in CARE/FERA/Medical Baseline billing, Power Share programs, Net Energy Metering, automation of new billing programs and resolving billing issues stemming from usage concerns. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, San Diego in management science and is proud to be a part of a team searching to bring affordable and clean energy to the community.

Scott serves as the Strategic Sourcing Manager for Clean Power Alliance, managing the procurement of goods and services to support a wide variety of business needs. During the past three years, he served as a Contracts Lead supporting Facebook’s Sourcing Operations Engineering organization, managing the end-to-end contract process for the Facebook Connectivity (FBC) and Global Data Center Connectivity (GDCC) teams. He previously served as a judicial clerk and has 15 years of legal experience working with a variety of contracts across different industries. Scott obtained a JD from Indiana University’s Maurer School of Law.

Francis serves as Senior Advisor, Regulatory Affairs for Clean Power Alliance. He previously analyzed energy and transportation issues as a staffer in the California State Assembly and worked as a political organizer. Prior to joining CPA, he served as an attorney to facilitate acquisitions and project financing of renewable energy projects and other infrastructure as an Associate with Milbank LLP. His work included advising clients on utility-scale wind and solar farms, solar rooftop portfolios, and revolving credit facilities. Francis obtained a Master of Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.

Joanne serves the Director, Customer Programs at Clean Power Alliance, leading a mix of programs promoting electric vehicles and buildings, demand response, energy resiliency, and low-income community solar. She has over 15 years of experience delivering customer programs within the utility and consulting space. This includes over 5 years of leading the California operations at CLEAResult, the largest provider of emission-reducing energy solutions across North America, and more than 10 years at Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). When at PG&E, Joanne designed and implemented numerous customer programs and led the strategy for implementation of time-of-use rates.

Michael joins CPA as the Senior Advisor, Rates and Tariffs. Michael has held a wide range of roles in the energy industry, with experience in public utilities, renewable energy development, government and consulting. At Hawaiian Electric, he held roles in strategic planning and customer solutions, focusing on electric vehicle rates and program development. At Great River Energy, Michael developed wholesale rates, led rate design initiatives, and developed special program rates related to demand-side management, business development, distributed generation, and electric vehicles, including an innovative EV fast charging rate to encourage the rapid development of charging infrastructure. At CPA, he leads the annual rate setting process, analyzing CPA’s cost of service and managing rate design and implementation to ensure that CPA continually meets its goal of making clean energy competitive and accessible for our customers. He holds bachelors degrees in Economics and Philosophy from UC Davis and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Hawaii.

Abdul serves as the Associate, People & Culture. In this role, Abdul assists in the administrative functions of the People & Culture department. He will also provide general HR support while assisting with recruiting, onboarding, wellness, and recognition processes. Prior to joining CPA, Abdul was working in the hospitality industry with over 6 years of leadership and 2 years of Human Resources experience. He has earned a bachelor’s in Marketing from the University of Houston and a Master’s in Human Resources Management from the University of Southern California.

S. Nancy Whang serves as the General Counsel for Clean Power Alliance. Prior to joining Clean Power Alliance, Whang was a partner at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, where she was a member of the Government & Regulatory Practice Group. While at Manatt, Whang worked on a range of matters from energy and government contracts to health & safety and environmental issues. Whang’s prior experience also includes two years at the Southern California Gas Company where she worked on the general rate case, risk and safety issues, and operations-related matters. S. Nancy Whang is dedicated to public service having served on the Central Area Commission for the City of Los Angeles, and as a Board Member of the Korean American Coalition, and Asian Americans Advancing Justice. Whang holds a law degree from UCLA School of Law, and received her bachelor’s from Smith College.

Kaitlin serves as an Analyst, Power Supply. She graduated from the University of San Diego in 2018 with a degree in Finance and Business Administration. Soon after graduation, she started her career at Sempra Energy where she was a part of the Financial Leadership Program for 2 and a half years. In that program she rotated around different groups within the Sempra family, including Sempra LNG and San Diego Gas & Electric, giving her exposure to different aspects of the Energy Industry. Upon completion of the program, she continued her career in the Electric and Fuel Procurement group at SDG&E. In her role she was focused on Resource Adequacy and Portfolio Management. At CPA, Kaitlin provides operational, analytical, compliance, and other support to our growing Power Supply team, as we advance clean energy goals in a way that adheres to the local priorities of our member agencies.

Ben serves as the Regulatory Analyst II at Clean Power Alliance (CPA). Ben has worked in the energy and regulatory space for over five years, mainly in California. He spent nearly three years at the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission on the City’s CCA, CleanPowerSF, where he worked on a variety of matters including Resource Adequacy. Prior to joining CPA Ben worked in the financial analysis unit with Minnesota Public Utilities Commission working on matters ranging from transmission cost recovery, renewable energy standards, to revenue decoupling. For CPA, Ben manages procurement related regulatory proceedings, including resource adequacy and renewable portfolio standards. Ben earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota and his JD from Vermont Law School.

Arunesh serves as the Database Administrator for Clean Power Alliance (CPA). Arunesh brings extensive experience of designing, coding, testing, and supporting next generation database solutions. He is responsible for architecting and managing some of CPA’s most critical system databases, applications, and platforms including but not limited to Amazon Web Services (AWS), PostgreSQL, and Snowflake. Arunesh brings various industry experience including Finance, Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, and Advertising. Arunesh received a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering.

Chris serves the Director, Customer Care at Clean Power Alliance and is responsible for the oversight of customer data management, billing, and call center operations. Chris brings a unique background that includes financial analysis and prior data management experience in the CCA space at Calpine Energy Solutions as Operations Manager. At Calpine Chris was responsible for the oversight of daily operations with SCE clients, including numerous enrollments, implementing energy efficiency programs, customer service, call center operations, strategy, and creating controls. Prior to that, Chris worked in the financial industry focusing on asset management and optimizing spending. Chris graduated from Elmira College in New York, holding bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Business Administration.

Mili serves as the People and Culture Manager. She most recently came from a third-party logistics (3PL) company as a Human Resources Manager. Having previously owned her own business in the hospitality industry, she brings a unique perspective to the People & Culture team at CPA.  She is responsible for assisting with routine functions of the People & Culture department including coordinating recruitment, hiring and onboarding processes, administering pay, benefits and leave, training, and administering company policies and practices.

Natalie Baerlocher serves as the Load Forecasting & Analytics Manger for Clean Power Alliance. Natalie comes to CPA with twelve years of experience supporting public power, specializing in developing short-term and multi-year load forecasts. She holds a Master’s degree in Statistics and Operations Research from the University of North Carolina and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Washington State University.

Helen serves as the Accounting Manager for Clean Power Alliance, supporting various functions within the Accounting team. She comes to CPA with more than 16 years of experience in Accounting and Finance, including Financial Reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting, Project Management, Tax Compliance and Audit. Helen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UCLA. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring new restaurants and relaxing at the beach.

Cara Rene serves as Director of Marketing and Communications at Clean Power Alliance. She has more than 20 years of experience in public and private sector communications, community engagement and event management. Cara spent many years in the Pacific Northwest overseeing communications for the City of Vancouver and leading stakeholder relations for Greater Portland Inc, the region’s economic development organization. Prior to that, Cara led communications and outreach strategy for Southern Arizona’s largest school district and worked at Downtown Tucson Partnership to enhance the livability and economic strength of that city’s urban core. She spent the first decade of her professional life after grad school as a newspaper journalist. Cara earned her master’s degree in journalism from the University of Arizona and is a proud Wildcat. She loves to travel, cook, and learn about the world and its people.

Annie Gustafson serves as our Project Manager Power Supply & Compliance, providing compliance, analytical, and other support to the growing Power Supply team. Prior to joining the Clean Power Alliance, Annie worked with Southern California Edison in their Energy Contract Management team, performing compliance reporting, REC management, and RFO procurement support. She earned her Bachelors of Sciences in Environmental Economics & Policy and Conservation & Resource Studies from UC Berkeley.

Jillian Nelson serves as Program Manager, Grid Management & Resiliency. She brings with her 10 years of diverse business experience in energy efficiency and the electric power industry. Prior to joining Clean Power Alliance, she served as Senior Program Manager at Willdan where she managed the implementation of energy efficiency programs for local municipal utilities in Los Angeles. Jillian also worked for the New York Power Authority, where she held several roles in business operations, key governmental account management, and electric rate development. Jillian holds an M.B.A. and a B.S. degree in business administration from Marist College.

Gina serves as Director, Government Affairs for Clean Power Alliance. She has over a decade of experience working on environmental and clean energy policy and government affairs. Gina comes to Clean Power Alliance from Tesla, where she spent four years (including two at SolarCity) working on advancing local policies related to solar, storage, electric vehicles and electric vehicle infrastructure. Prior to that, she worked at Global Green USA, a non-profit organization dedicated to clean energy and energy efficiency, with particular focus on low-income affordable housing. Before that, she worked on ocean and open space advocacy for Environment California. Gina received her bachelors in Political Science and Environmental Studies from the University of Southern California.

Tim serves as Senior Director, Technology, Data and Systems for Clean Power Alliance where he focuses on leveraging modern digital and data solutions to maximize the business insight and utility from CPA’s extensive data assets. Tim’s technology specializations include big data solutions, all aspects of software development, cyber security, test automation, work-flow automation, and project management. Tim worked for Southern California Edison in IT Grid Modernization, delivering large solutions for grid planning. Tim has also worked in technology leadership roles for large organizations like Nortel and Alcatel, developing high technology internet and networking products and solutions. Tim has over 30 years of technology and engineering experience and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of New Brunswick, in Canada.

John serves as Director, Structured Contracts and oversees the procurement and management of long-term power purchase agreements. John’s prior experience includes over eleven years at Southern California Edison’s Energy Procurement Management Department where he held numerous roles in contract management and strategic planning and three years at Wells Fargo Securities working with commodity derivatives. John earned his MBA from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business and his bachelor’s from the University of Florida.

Jennifer is the Commercial Accounts Executive and leads engagement with commercial and municipal customers on account retention and program initiatives. She has extensive experience in renewable energy project development, carbon management strategies and sustainability program planning for the private and non-profit sectors. Jennifer has worked with project developers, building owners, finance partners and energy off-takers to evaluate and develop renewable energy projects. She worked with organizations including Intel, PepsiCo, The Rockefeller Foundation and Trust for Public Land to develop renewable energy/carbon management strategies and provide solutions to achieve their sustainability and carbon reduction goals. Jennifer holds a M.S. in Environmental Economics and Policy from The London School of Economics and a B.A. from The American University in Washington D.C.

Gabby serves as the Clerk of the Board for Clean Power Alliance, having spent more than nine years working with local municipalities and regional agencies. Prior to joining CPA, Gabby served as the Deputy City Clerk for the City of Culver City, where she focused on election management, civic engagement, and implementing programs that improved resident services. Gabby graduated from California State University, Los Angeles receiving a bachelor’s degree in political science, with an emphasis in legal studies.

CC serves as Director, Regulatory Affairs at Clean Power Alliance. CC joins CPA with over a decade of experience in environmental and energy policy in New York and California, with four years at MCE, California’s first community choice aggregator, where she managed regulatory and legislative matters related to resource planning and procurement, and emission calculation and disclosure. Prior to MCE, CC was a program manager for electric vehicle research projects at the Luskin Center for Innovation at UCLA. She was also a fellow at the Greenlining Institute from 2010 to 2011. CC has a BA from University of Michigan, and an MPP from UCLA.

Tanya serves as the Director, People and Culture. In this role, Tanya oversees all aspects of the human resources operations, including engagement, talent development, acquisition, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Prior to CPA, Tanya has led teams in people operations for over 20 years, most recently working as Chief People Officer for National Health Foundation. Tanya’s specialties focus on building inclusive and equitable spaces, managing complex organizational change, and developing strategies that drive high-impact teams and in turn, business results. Tanya obtained her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership at Pennsylvania State University and her master’s degree in Learning, Design & Technology at Purdue University. She is currently serving as a proud member of the Board of Directors for the National Healthcare for the Homeless Council.

David McNeil is the Chief Financial Officer for Clean Power Alliance, overseeing financial operations and analysis for the organization. Prior to joining Clean Power Alliance, David served as Manager of Finance for Marin Clean Energy (MCE), where he steered the growth of MCE’s revenues and net position, and was instrumental in arranging for MCE to receive an investment grade credit rating (Baa2) from Moody’s, the first community choice aggregator to have done so. David has 20 years of experience in financial oversight, credit management, strategic planning and risk management and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder.

Matthew is Chief Operating Officer for Clean Power Alliance, leading internal operations, strategy, regulatory affairs, and development for California’s largest community choice energy provider. Matthew has broad renewable energy and utility experience, including deep expertise in renewable energy project development, contracting, and operations. His experience includes nine years at Southern California Edison where he held roles in energy procurement, corporate strategy, transmission and distribution, and customer service. Matthew earned an MBA from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business and his bachelor’s in Management from Tulane University.

Monique is Chief Administrative Officer at Clean Power Alliance, and is responsible for Human Resources, management of the billing and data relationship with Southern California Edison (SCE) and Calpine, and technology. Monique brings a unique background that includes prior CCA experience, expertise in the public sector, education, financial and technical leadership, most recently having served the City of Lancaster/Lancaster Choice Energy as IT/Customer Care Manager. In Lancaster, Monique was responsible for oversight of the Customer Care/Data Management contract, including customer enrollment, customer service, and the call center interface, while also managing the City’s IT Department. Prior to that, Monique worked for AT&T focusing on emerging business technology products. Monique holds degrees from the University of Phoenix, California State University, Dominguez Hills, and a Doctoral Degree in Business Administration from Walden University.

Raynette serves as Executive Assistant to the Executive Director to the CEO for Clean Power Alliance, bringing years of experience supporting senior management. Prior to joining Clean Power Alliance, Raynette served as a Legal Assistant to partners at O’Melveny & Myers and Manatt, Phelps & Phillips law firms, including a former State Senator. Most recently, she held the position of Office Administrator at a project management firm in Culver City.

Jack serves as Senior Director, Customer Programs for Clean Power Alliance. Jack brings with him more than 20 years of experience in energy, environmental and cultural resource programming directed solely at developing large scale comprehensive and inclusive solutions to climate change. Prior to joining Clean Power Alliance, he served as Vice President of Sustainable Energy Use at DNV GL, Deputy Director of Energy and Sustainability with the City of San Diego, and Director of Programs with the Center for Sustainable Energy. Jack earned a Master of Administration in Sustainable Planning and a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and Environmental Sciences.

Xico serves as the Electrification Program Manager for Clean Power Alliance. He brings more than 15 years of experience working with cities to reduce climate impacts through responsible purchasing, climate action planning and protocol development for GHG accounting. Prior to joining Clean Power Alliance, Xico served as GHG Specialist at Kim Lundgren Associates; and Senior Technical Analyst at PMC; and Senior Programs Office at ICLEI USA. Xico earned a M.P.P. in Environmental Policy from the University of Maryland and B.A. in English and Philosophy from St. Mary’s College of Maryland.

John serves as Data and Systems Manager for Clean Power Alliance. He brings more than 20 years of experience as a data systems innovator, director of technical operations, solution architect and application developer. He co-founded three software companies and has recently worked as a Sr. Solutions Architect at Oracle, Capgemini and on the Google Cloud Platform. John holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Carolina.

Farah serves as Senior Analyst, Data and Systems for Clean Power Alliance (CPA). Farah works closely with the Data and Systems Manager on the creation and maintenance of data and information systems at CPA. She also supports cross technical departments in data automation and business intelligence, by gathering data and creating automated reports. Her points of focus are automating time-consuming reporting tasks and assisting CPA staff with various data requests. Prior to joining CPA, Farah worked in the medical device industry at Edwards Lifesciences, where she used her expertise in machine learning and business intelligence to develop quality systems and forecasting models. She received two bachelor’s degrees from American University and UCLA and a master’s degree in information systems and decision sciences from California State University, Fullerton.

Kenneth serves as the Project Manager, Data & Systems for Clean Power Alliance. Kenneth is a motivated, personable business professional with more than ten years of experience as an Information Technology Project Management consultant. He has cross-functional experience in the higher education, television, film, and finance industries. Kenneth is a certified Associate Project Manager, Certified Scrum Product Owner, Certified Scrum Master and holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science, a master’s degree in business administration, and a master’s degree in business intelligence and data analytics from Brandman University.

Astrid serves as the Marketing and Digital Strategy Manager at Clean Power Alliance (CPA). She manages CPA’s digital user experience and leads the awareness and recruitment for CPA’s customer programs. Astrid brings 20 years of experience leading fortune 500 brands, as well as government agency’s marketing strategy and campaign management. She has helped brands such as Microsoft, Freeform, KIA Motors, Metrolink, and L.A. Care attract and retain customers regionally and nationally. She launched the largest electricity conservation campaign ever conducted in the U.S. in 13 languages, Flex Your Power. Astrid specializes in brand growth, social media and paid media strategy with a cross-cultural emphasis.

Shervan serves as the Marketing Communications Associate, with a focus on generating dynamic and engaging content while supporting outreach and community education efforts. He brings 12 years of experience leading both national and state-wide policy and communications campaigns, with success placing content, op-ed’s, and interviews in domestic and international publications, including the LA Times, NY Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, and The Economist. Prior to joining Clean Power Alliance, Shervan led global communications outreach for the University of Southern California on health equity issues and has previously served multiple roles in the U.S. House of Representatives, first supporting legislative hearings and markups for the Committee on House Administration, then managing the Judiciary, Transportation and Government portfolio for Congressman Robert. A. Brady (PA-1).

Karla serves as the External Affairs Administrator. She has five years’ experience in administrative and accounting experience and two years’ experience in operations, purchasing, contracts and logistics. Before coming to CPA, Karla worked as the office manager for G&D North America Inc. (a German KVM company) and as a legal assistant for a small law firm, Lawrence and Associates LLC. Karla is currently obtaining a Master’s in Urban Planning, at California State University, Northridge. She currently holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University, Northridge and an AA in Accounting.

Christian serves as the Community Outreach Manager for Clean Power Alliance, providing support to the organization’s Community Advisory Committee, a 15-member body of customer volunteers who advise the Board of Directors on planning and policy matters. Christian brings a history of working with local governments and community organizations across Southern California. Christian was most recently at the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments, which is comprised of 31 cities, three water districts, and three LA County supervisorial districts, where he served as the staff liaison to the Energy and Natural Resources Committee. He has a strong background in constituent relations, having served as Field Deputy for Pasadena Councilmember John Kennedy. Christian received his bachelor’s from San Francisco State University and his MPA from University of La Verne.

Joseph serves as External Affairs Manager – Ventura County for Clean Power Alliance. He has more than thirty years of experience with such organizations as Litton (now Northrop Grumman), ABC7/Disney, Los Angeles Times, Medtronic, the Salvation Army, City of Lancaster, and the United States Department of Commerce. As Communications Manager for the City of Lancaster, he was instrumental in the city being named the “Alternative Energy Capital of the World.” He also served as a state official on the State of California Employment Training Panel’s Advisory Research Council. Joseph earned his Bachelor of Arts in both Political Science and Journalism, prior to earning his MBA. He also completed the Northwestern University Advanced Executive Program.

Dalia Gomez serves as the External Affairs Manager – Los Angeles County for Clean Power Alliance. With over 10 years of experience in external affairs in the energy industry, she is passionate about building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders to drive change and build a sustainable energy future. Dalia is a California native, born and raised in Los Angeles County, and is committed to the empowerment of the communities in and around the county. She holds a Master of Public Administration in Public Sector Management and Leadership from California State University, Northridge and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development and Education from California State University, Los Angeles.

Geoff serves as Director, Energy Risk Management for Clean Power Alliance. His experience includes financial risk management, deal structuring and pricing, utility planning and resource procurement, and regulatory analysis. He comes to Clean Power Alliance with more than a decade of energy-related experience. He has held positions including Senior Economist at the Public Utility Commission of Oregon, as well as Manager-Structuring & Pricing, Director-Risk Management, and Director-Strategy at subsidiaries of Berkshire Hathaway Energy. He completed all course work necessary for Ph.D.’s in both Finance and Real Estate Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University.

Hui Lisano is Controller for Clean Power Alliance. Hui has been an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in California since 2002 and has more than 15 years of experience in building, leading and managing Finance and Accounting departments, including over 10 years in leadership roles for non-profit and public agencies. Her previous positions include Corporate Controller for OneLegacy, Director of Accounting for Warner Music Group, Corporate Accounting Manager for LA Care, and Financial Auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers. Hui has earned two master’s degrees, one in Accounting from University of Houston, Clear Lake, and the other in Education from the University of Texas at Austin.

Alex serves as Financial Analyst for Clean Power Alliance, providing support to the finance team’s implementation of financial processes and controls. Prior to joining Clean Power Alliance, Alex served for three years with the Department of State Mission in Iraq and Afghanistan under task order Operational Maintenance Support Services (OMSS), Baghdad Life Support Services (BLiSS), and Chief of Mission Authority – IDIQ. During this time, he computed transitional and sustainment financial analysis for State Department sites in Baghdad Embassy Compound, Basra Consulate General and Baghdad Diplomatic Support Centre, alongside several Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) in Afghanistan and the Middle East. Before that, he worked as a Customer Experience Officer for KCB Bank Group, where he assisted local government entities implementation of check truncation payment system. He is a fellow from Centre for Sustainability Leadership – Australia and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Kenya.

Antony serves as Financial Planning and Analysis Manager for Clean Power Alliance. He comes to Clean Power Alliance with more than 15 years of experience in accounting and finance. Most recently, he worked at OneLegacy, where he held the positions of Accounts Payable Supervisor and Payroll Manager. He received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems from California State University, Fullerton.

Van serves as the Senior Accountant for Clean Power Alliance. Previously, Van worked with the CIM Group, a prominent real estate investment firm in Los Angeles, bringing over 5 years of full cycle accounting experience . While at CIM Group, Van was responsible for the financials of a portfolio of commercial and residential real estate assets located across the United States. Van earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Irvine with a major in Business Economics and a minor in Accounting.

Jacky serves as Energy Risk Market Analyst for Clean Power Alliance, supporting various functions within the risk management team. His background is in risk operations, financial analysis, supply chain and project management. Prior to joining CPA, Jacky worked with Southern California Edison where he worked closely with local planning and line crews on wildfire remediation efforts. Jacky then moved into the risk operations group and served as an energy risk specialist at SCE, where he managed the collateral desk and assisted traders with validating deal confirmations. Jacky earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from USC.

Kate serves as the Financial Strategy and Initiatives Manager for Clean Power Alliance, organizing and executing major financial initiatives as well as providing financial expertise to support organizational initiatives. Prior to joining Clean Power Alliance, she worked as a Financial Specialist at Edison International supporting financial forecasting and planning activities, debt and equity financing activities, and the development of a sustainable financing framework for the company. She has also served as a consultant in the power and utility sector. Kate obtained a Master of Science degree from the University of Michigan’s School of Natural Resources & Environment and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Michigan.

Karen serves as Clean Power Alliance’s Senior Advisor, Strategy. Karen’s career has spanned energy, climate change, land use, biological conservation, and sustainability issues in the public, nonprofit and private sectors. Her past clients have included The Nature Conservancy, Rocky Mountain Institute, American Farmland Trust, San Diego County Department of Health and Los Angeles Food Policy Council Task Force, as well as numerous agricultural and renewable energy companies. A long-time Ventura County resident, she has worked with many community organizations in the region, most recently including SOAR. Karen holds an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and an MS in biology and a BS in biology and environmental earth sciences from Stanford University.

Theresa serves as Human Resources Manager for Clean Power Alliance, supporting various functions within the Technology, Data, and People team. She brings with her years of experience as a hands-on human resource generalist working in the high-technology, biotechnology, law, and retail industries for the private sector. Prior to joining Clean Power Alliance, Theresa worked at DEX, where as a Director of Human Resources, she advised and supported on all issues relating to human capital. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in human resources, from San Jose State University.

Dusty serves as the Paralegal for Clean Power Alliance, working closely with our General Counsel, supporting multiple teams. Prior to joining Clean Power Alliance, Dusty worked for over 15 years as a Senior Paralegal at Wells Fargo Bank. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and her Paralegal Certificate from UCLA.

Tiffany serves as the Office Manager for Clean Power Alliance, bringing over 20 years of administrative experience in Office Management, Training, Implementations, and Technical Support. Prior to joining CPA, Tiffany has professional experiences as a Small Business Owner, Realtor with Century 21 Union, and meaningful roles with global organizations such as, Solectron Global Services, OB10 Inc, and Carestream Dental.

Ted serves as Senior Portfolio Manager, Environmental Products and Compliance, providing analytical and project management support for Clean Power Alliance’s energy supply portfolio and procurement. His background is in finance, risk management, energy analysis, renewables and regulatory affairs. Prior to joining Clean Power Alliance, Ted managed Shell Energy North America’s regulatory requirements necessary to do business in the California retail energy market. He also was instrumental in developing Shell’s renewable natural gas business, which brings low-carbon biogas to California’s vehicle fuel market. Ted received his bachelor’s degree in Managerial Economics from UC Davis and an MBA from California State University, Sacramento.

Alex serves as Project Manager, Contract Management for Clean Power Alliance, supporting various functions within the Procurement team. Her experience includes compliance reporting and energy and financial modeling. Prior to joining Clean Power Alliance, Alex was an analyst at GI Energy, where she prepared feasibility analyses and investment proposals for projects utilizing combined heat and power, energy storage, and district thermal technologies. Before that, she spent three years at Southern California Edison as a Business Analyst, where she supported low-income program operations and database administration. Alex earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from UCLA.

Rich serves as the Project Manager, Power Supply for Clean Power Alliance, supporting various functions within the Power Procurement team. Rich recently graduated from UCSB’s Bren School of Environmental Science and Management, where he focused his education on the intersection of energy systems and climate change. Rich’s thesis, conducted with guidance from the Clean Power Alliance staff, focused on identifying locations for multiple benefit local clean energy within CPA’s service territory. Before that, Rich held various program management roles in homeless services in Bend, Oregon. Rich also holds a B.S. in business administration from Saint Joseph’s University.

Cody serves as Project Manager, Settlements for Clean Power Alliance. Prior to joining Clean Power Alliance, Cody served as a Solutions Support Analyst for Adapt2 Solutions where he supported energy trading and settlements for some of the nation’s largest energy companies. Cody earned his Bachelor of Science degree and MBA from the University of Houston – Clear Lake.

Sean serves as the Project Manager, Resource Optimization for Clean Power Alliance. Sean is a Southern California native who has been in the energy industry for six years with utilities and economic consultants. He has estimated economic damages for federal litigation dating back to the California energy crisis. Sean worked at Southern California Edison as an Integrated Resource Planning analyst and price forecaster prior to joining Clean Power Alliance. He holds degrees in economics and environmental studies from the University of Southern California.

Allison serves as a Customer Programs Coordinator II for Clean Power Alliance. She brings more than 4 years of experience working in Community Choice Aggregation on customer programs, data, and engagement. Prior to joining Clean Power Alliance, Allison consulted on STEM program design at Genentech; and as a Community Development Manager at Marin Clean Energy (MCE), she developed specific tools and new processes to better serve customers while spearheading new community enrollments, 100% renewable campaigns, and energy efficiency initiatives. She received her bachelor’s degree in History from Trinity University and holds a Master’s in History from the University of California, Berkeley. She has a certificate in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies from the Stanford Center for Professional Development.

Alex Ricklefs serves as the Program Manager, Community Solar for Clean Power Alliance. He brings more than 10 years of experience developing and implementing clean energy strategies. Prior to joining Clean Power Alliance, Alex worked as a Program Manager at The Energy Coalition managing clean energy and energy efficiency projects. Alex earned a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UCSD.
