Clean Power Alliance’s Green Leader program recognizes businesses and organizations throughout Los Angeles and Ventura counties that demonstrate environmental leadership by choosing CPA’s 100% Green Power energy option to serve their operations.
Green Leaders include small businesses, nonprofit organizations and public agencies committed to contributing to their community’s efforts to build a more sustainable future.
CPA recently welcomed new Green Leader ALO, a “studio-to-street” activewear and wellness brand headquartered in Beverly Hills, that believes using renewable energy is key to being a thoughtful local business.
“Mindfulness, movement and the natural world are at the heart of ALO,” said Jenny Huyhg, ALO’s Global Sustainability Manager. “We are proud to use 100% Green Power at our global headquarters in Beverly Hills, leveraging renewable energy to power our operations and reduce our carbon footprint.”
ALO has expanded on its community-focused mission by using its local flagship store as a community hub, hosting recurring, location-based experiences like the Alo Runners Club and other in-store events and classes.
By highlighting Green Leader businesses and their environmentally friendly actions, Clean Power Alliance elevates best practices in sustainability and encourages broader community participation in renewable energy initiatives. The program underscores the essential role that commercial leadership plays in building a resilient and environmentally responsible energy landscape.
New Green Leader, Temple Beth Tora, a Jewish congregation in Ventura County, highlighted the importance of businesses being great environmental partners. “We consider environmental sustainability an important part of our mission to repair the world,” said Alan Kirschbaum, Temple Beth Tora’s Facilities Chair.
The temple’s long-running “Greening TBT” initiative reflects deep local stewardship by pairing 100% Green Power with on-site clean energy, including a 30-kW solar + battery system installed in 2025, plus continued facility upgrades that support sustainable living and community resilience. Green Leader program participants receive a variety of complimentary program benefits, including a promotional toolkit to highlight their environmental leadership status, a listing on CPA’s website and opportunities to be featured on CPA’s social media channels and newsletter.
Commercial customers not currently on this energy option who are interested in becoming a Green Leader, can opt up to 100% Green by contacting CPA’s customer service team at customerservice@cleanpoweralliance.org.
