Clean Power Alliance offers residential customers through the Power Response Home Program the opportunity to earn money by reducing their electricity use. By participating, customers can earn money during Energy Saving Events, which occur during times when energy demand is unseasonably high. Those enrolled in Power Response Home can earn a one-time bonus of $20 for signing up and $2 for each kilowatt hour of energy they save. You will receive an email within three weeks confirming your enrollment.

Earn Money

Earn a one time sign up bonus of $20 for enrolling and keep earning when you participate in Energy Saving Events. You will be notified 24 hours in advance about an Energy Saving Event.

What to do when an Energy Saving Event is called?

Here are some easy tips to reduce your electricity use.

Delay charging your electric vehicle at home.

Air dry clothing and dishes instead of using your appliances.

Disconnect laptops, tablets, and electric vehicles from charging.

Turn off your television and watch later, or on a handheld device.

During the summer, adjust the temperature on your thermostat to 78 degrees.

Delay running your washing machine and dishwasher until 9 pm.

Turn off any unnecessary lights.

Avoid charging devices, and unplug any appliances that are not being used like TVs, digital cables, printers, and laptop computers.

Close your window coverings (blinds and curtains) to keep the heat out.

Use a power strip for multiple devices and turn the strip off when not in use.

Cook with your outdoor grill or microwave to keep your home cooler.

How much money can you earn?

Customer can earn a one-time $20 sign-up bonus in the form of an electronic gift card when they enroll in Power Response Home.
All participants will receive $2 for every kilowatt hour of energy saved.
The participation incentives will be provided once a year in the form of an electronic gift card via email.
