CPA’s 2025 Impact Report Details a Transformative Year Marked by Greater Local Resilience, Clean Energy Expansion, and Enhanced Customer Programs

CPA Happenings

Clean Power Alliance’s 2025 Impact Report reflects a transformative year where investments in infrastructure and customer programs accelerated the transition to clean energy and improved grid reliability for local communities.

2025 was also a challenging year for our region when the Palisades and Eaton wildfires devastated local communities. CPA responded by directing funding and resources to support immediate recovery efforts, training for contractors rebuilding with resilient solutions and offering expert guidance to customers on how to protect their properties from fire.

The demand for renewable energy continued to grow in 2025 and CPA brought 157 megawatts of new resources online and welcomed three new cities choosing clean energy – reinforcing CPA’s position as one of California’s leading purchasers of clean power and our designation as the number one green energy provider in the United States.

CPA invested in workforce training to prepare local workers for clean energy industry jobs, and increased funding for customer programs by 30%, enabling the launch of new energy-saving offerings to help residents and businesses reduce usage and lower electricity costs.

Collectively, CPA customers helped to avoid 3.6 billion pounds of harmful greenhouse gas emissions by choosing clean energy — an environmental benefit equivalent to removing over 382,000 gas-powered cars from the road for one year or growing over 27 million tree seedlings for 10 years.

CPA’s commitment to strengthening the sustainability and resilience of local communities will continue into 2026 and beyond.
