New Energized Communities Program to Help Municipalities Reach Sustainability Goals

Community Commitment

CPA has launched the Energized Communities program to help reduce dependence on fossil fuels and assist our partner communities to reach their sustainability and decarbonization goals by providing technical and financial support.

Energized Communities projects will promote resiliency, help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and promote a healthier environment while creating new jobs in the green economy.

The program provides municipalities with electrification planning and project implementation assistance through defined pathways such as electrifying fleets and buildings or expanding electric vehicle charging. Funding for technical support and incentives will be available over a three-year period to advance resiliency, grid management, and local procurement.

CPA will work with our member agencies to identify local priorities and assist them to implement these efforts in their community.
