More Than $200K in Grants Now Available to Nonprofits to Advance Clean Energy Goals

CPA is excited to announce that a new round of grant funds is now available to support nonprofits furthering key clean energy initiatives such as growing green jobs and bolstering environmental education, energy equity and diversity in the communities that CPA serves.

CPA and Calpine Energy Solutions are providing over $200,000 to nonprofits with awards ranging from $5,000 to $30,000. The application period runs through Sept. 16.

“Investing in our local communities is a key goal of CPA and this grant program is an important part of creating long-lasting partnerships with organizations that support our clean energy mission,” said Ted Bardacke, CEO of Clean Power Alliance. “We appreciate Calpine’s ongoing commitment to reinvesting with us in Los Angeles and Ventura counties.”

The annual grant launched in 2021 with $75,000 in funding. Previous award winners have utilized funds for the purchase of electric vehicles to support local community events, sustainability workshops and education opportunities for students, research on potential local energy projects, and the Los Angeles annual City of STEM Science Festival Innovation Challenge.
